WEIGHT of Our Sins

Hebrews 12:1

King James Version

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about

with so great a cloud of witnesses,

let us lay aside every weight,

and the sin which doth so easily beset us,

and let us run with patience the race

that is set before us,

We can run the race better, if sin doesn't weigh us down.

Are we even aware we have sinned?

How have we sinned?

What are the consequences?

Who's to save us from more sin?

This blog you're reading now, was another collaboration with the Holy Spirit of God.

Previously, we started writing an article on sin.

That article led to more articles, until it just wouldn't stop.

Now, it's at least 33 articles.

It made me realize the VOLUME of our sins.

No wonder Jesus left Heaven for us, died for us, and eventually gifted us with the Comforter when He had to return to the Father.

John 16:7 (KJV)

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth;

It is expedient for you that I go away:

for if I go not away,

the Comforter will not come unto you;

but if I depart,

I will send him unto you.

And when the Comforter came, the job was clear:

John 16:8 (KJV)

8 And when he is come,

he will reprove the world of sin,

and of righteousness,

and of judgment:

It was actually the 33rd article in that series on sin, which triggered the creation of this blog you're reading now.

A new blog had to be created just on the reproofs alone.

And on what the Holy Spirit was really tasked to do, in behalf of Jesus.

Now, things became clearer than ever on the ministry of Jesus, and the connection the Holy Spirit had in it.

Through the Holy Spirit, we can become reproved, and corrected.

For no one can enter God's new city, as we are right now:

Revelation 21:27 (KJV)

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it

any thing that defileth,

neither whatsoever worketh abomination,

or maketh a lie:

but they which are written

in the Lamb's book of life.

The Holy Spirit also alerted me to the urgency we all acknowledge our sinfulness, and to repent, and obey the will of the Father, as shown by Jesus Himself, when He died on the cross for our sins.

Jesus also commanded we become born again, so we can understand things of the Spirit.

In this battle for our soul, we need all the help from God we can get.

And the Holy Spirit is there to inform us, to alert us, to correct us, and to help us understand the WORD of GOD.

The only question is, how many care to know, and to listen?

How many even believe in Jesus?

How many believe He is the SON of GOD?

We really must search our hearts.

And let the Holy Spirit of God come in.

No one is free from sin.

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

23 For all have sinned,

and come short of the glory of God;

Let's all wake up.

Before it's too late.
